Musical Enchantment this past weekend netted over $7300 (after expenses)! The money raised at this fundraiser will be used to support our three orchestras and to help students who need tuition assistance in order to participate. Thank you to the many, many people who helped make Musical Enchantment a huge success! Spring Concert - Sunday, May 2, 3:00 pm We will keep the Spring Concert as originally scheduled: Sunday, May 2, at 3:00 pm. The concert will be held in the North Salem High School auditorium (not in Smith). The dress rehearsals have not been firmly set yet. We'll let you know soon. Paperwork section: Winter Concert recordings If you would like to order a CD or DVD of the Winter Concert, you can use the printable order form. Volunteer Log This year we'll try using a Volunteer Log to keep track of the many hours that our families donate to support our orchestras. You can use the online Volunteer Log (thank you to the parent who suggested this at the parent meeting!). If you prefer, a physical log book will be available at rehearsals. Absence Form For the next few weeks we will experiment with an online Absence form. Enrollment paperwork This year's rehearsal and events calendar is on the Calendar page. You can turn in completed enrollment forms at the next rehearsal, or you can mail them to Joyce. To print the forms if needed: Player Profile form (you probably completed this form at your audition) Code of Conduct form (please keep this form- it's for your information) online Ethnicity Form for grant report Violin made by Tom LaDuke Henry Strobel has donated a beautiful, one-of-a-kind violin to the Salem Youth Symphony that was made by his friend Tom LaDuke. Mr. Strobel has given this gift so that proceeds from the sale will help Salem Youth Symphony serve student musicians. Interested students and other musicians are welcome to make an appointment to play the instrument. To make an appointment, please contact Joyce.
