Monday, January 12, 2009: rehearsal for Youth Symphony only (this group only) ALERT! Change rehearsal location! The first 3 rehearsals in January (for Youth Symphony group only) will be at North Salem High School instead of Parrish Middle School. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Amadeus and Philharmonia will resume rehearsals on Monday, January 26, 2009. Please see Google Calendar for rehearsal and event schedule. Concerto Competition Everyone is invited to listen to the (free) Concerto Competition on Saturday, January 24, 2009. It will be held in the First United Methodist Church, 600 State Street, Salem (map). Performances begin at 3:00 p.m. NEW students If you are interested in joining one of our orchestras for the second semester, please contact Joyce, our manager. Auditions will be held Monday, January 26. Amadeus and Philharmonia members Solos for Winter Enchantment will be chosen by Miss Ward or Mr. Harris-Clippinger. Please see your conductor for details if you are interested in this performance opportunity. Musical Enchantment raffle baskets Volunteers will be assembling baskets to be raffled at Musical Enchantment (January 31). Each family is encouraged to bring an item for the basket. Items can be brought in to any of our rehearsals- beginning now. Thank you! Amadeus - Entertainment Basket Philharmonia - Home and Garden Basket Youth Symphony - Romance Basket Musical Enchantment "A Night to Remember: A Tribute to Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald" This fun evening of music, prizes, and dessert is our major fundraiser of the year. It will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009, at 7 pm in the Psalm Center of Corban College (map). This year's musical entertainment will feature Daryl Silberman and Danny Seidenberg, as well as selected members of all three of our orchestras. Tickets are $20 each, or $150 for a full table (8 tickets). We appreciate your generous support!
